Originally from Germany, Ursula has lived in SW Florida since 1996. Her studies in art transcend boundaries, initially in her career in print and publishing and later in fine art. The artwork she has created has stretched across a number of materials, like fibers and fabrics, plastics, metals, and most recently paint in her bold - or subtle - color combinations.
My work is also displayed at these galleries:
851 Vanderbilt Beach Road,
Naples, FL 34108;
Art Council of Southwest Florida,
8074 Mediterranean Drive, Estero, FL
Applying paint, combining colors, in an abstract way is the most enjoyable part for me in creating art. Texture is of equal importance in a lot of my mixed media work. I use different mediums, paper, metal elements or found objects. Touching and feeling the materials gives me a better sense of “creating”. However, color is the binding component in my artwork. I often let the colors determine their direction while I am listening to music offering a helping hand to arrange and create a rich visual experience.
